Historical Crisis Committee (HCC): Partition of India

The Partition of India remains one of the most defining and complex events in modern history. In 1947, British India was divided into two independent states, India and Pakistan, marking the end of colonial rule. This decision resulted in widespread displacement, communal violence, and long-lasting political and social challenges that continue to shape South Asian geopolitics.

The Historical Crisis Committee (HCC) will provide delegates with the opportunity to engage in diplomatic negotiations, strategic decision-making, and crisis resolution as they navigate the challenges of partition. Representing key political leaders, policymakers, and influential figures of the time, participants will address critical issues such as border demarcation, governance structures, communal tensions, and the humanitarian crisis.
